From the Principal's Desk
With the completion of the Higher School Certificate and School Certificate exams, we look forward to some very good results.
The school "rolled over" to the 2007 timetable on 27th November, allowing students to make the transition to new classes and
be well prepared for the calendar new year. Senior classes commence work towards their School Certificate, Preliminary and
Higher School Certificate assessment and course outcomes.
Westfields has celebrated the successful achievements of the Rugby League, Football and Softball programs at presentation
evenings. Many thanks to coaches and program convenors for providing opportunities for students, parents and friends to
share stunning achievements.
The Westfields Blues were presented to nominated athletes at a ceremony held at St Johns Park Bowling Club. Congratulations
to the recipients.

Congratulations and sincere thanks to the Westfields P & C who held their final meeting for 2006. Our meeting was tinged
with sadness at the loss of Mrs Julie Schofield, mother of Marc (05). The P & C will welcome all new members to their first
meeting of 2007 on Wednesday 21st February.
It was my pleasure to accompany Adam Mammoliti and his family to a special awards ceremony for the best students in the
Australian Mathematics Competition. Over half a million students compete from 40 countries. Adam received the Prudence
Award and was amongst the best mathematicians in Sydney.
