From the Principal's Desk
It was a great pleasure to welcome Her Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir AV CVO, Governor of NSW, at a special ceremony
recognising the achievements of Level 1 & 2 Year 12 students.
To achieve Level 1 in the Westfields Welfare Program, a student must demonstrate sustained excellence in at least two areas
of school life. Students were recognised for academic proficiency, school service, sport and the performing arts.
Governor Bashir acknowledged the qualities of our Year 12 class, and encouraged the group to carry the mantle of future
leaders with pride. Thanks to Ms Cameron, students were able to receive excellent photographs of the occasion.

Parents are invited to attend a special Graduation Ceremony for the HSC class of 2006, taking place on Wednesday 27th
September. On this occasion, awards will be presented for academic achievements in all subjects. Students will be
recognised for overall service and commitment. Parents are asked to be seated in the stadium by 8:30 am.
I join all staff in wishing Year 12 good luck in their HSC exams, which commence on Thursday 19th October, Week 1 Term 4.
Congratulations to Ms Ireland and the HSC Dance class, notably eight students who have been invited to "Call Back" – an
event which recognises the best HSC dancers in NSW. Tickets are also selling fast for our Evening of Dance, to be held at
Riverside Theatre, Parramatta, on Friday 20th October. The evening will be a showcase of our most talented dance students.
