BASKETBALL talent Pablo Puyo is taking giant leaps in his quest for a career in
the sport.
Puyo, 17, plays for the penrith Youth League men's team which is charging to
towards the NSW State League finals series.
The Year 12 Westfields Sports High School student is proving a consistent pointscorer recently
producing 21 points against Bankstown Bruins in a State League premiership round.
The Fairfield-West teenager said he's having a good time for the Panthers in the youth league.
"I'm enjoying my time with the Panthers," Puyo told the Fairfield

Advance.
Pablo's progress in recent years has seen him develop into one of the more promising players
in the youth league.
A product of Fairfield Spartans Club, he played in their under-14 and under-16 representative teams.
One of the challenges
|
Puyo has confronted is playing against much older and far more experienced
opponents.
The State youth league is an under-25 competition.
"I'm conceding some age and experience to the other players," Puyo said.
However, the 183cm tall teenager says he isn't fazed by playing older players believing the
experience will only benefit him in the future.
In a recent match against Bankstown Bruins, Puyo scored 21 points and was the most domimantplayer
on the court.
Puyo said playing basketball at higher level is one of his goals but for now developing himself
in the youth league team is the main prioity.
