What a fantastic effort from Amanda, We all thought she was fast when
she clocked 16:28.85 for the 1500mtrs in Hobart at the Fina championships last year.
Her swim times in Japan are an inspiration for all young swimmers, in fact all young athletes,
it proves that with dedication and a desire to do your best you will achieve great results.
Amanda beat her Hobart time by a an unbelievable 12.05 seconds to be placed 4th fastest in the
world with a time of 16:16.80Sec. The channel 9 commentators, particularly Duncan Armstrong was full
of praise for our 16yr-old, what next can we expect from Amanda?
